A cyber attack has reportedly targeted a Pakistan-based organization known as IBL Healthcare, with the ALPHV/BlackCat ransomware group claiming responsibility for the incident. The hackers made their declaration on their dark web portal and stated that they were able to exfiltrate approximately 161 GB of data from the organization. The motives behind the cyber attack have not been disclosed.
IBL Healthcare, established in 1997, is a Private Limited Company that has formed valuable partnerships with industry leaders such as Nestlé, Mead Johnson, and Bausch and Lomb. The hackers claim to have stolen various types of sensitive information from the organization, including salaries, agreements, contracts, payments, registration documents, financial data, quality control information, medicine preparation guides, IBL OPS data, United Brands data, IBL Logistics information, and Searle pharma data. The stolen data was made available on the dark web on August 6, 2023.
