Alongside this rebranding, ISC2 has also launched a redesigned website, aimed at fostering inclusivity and catering to a diverse global audience.
The newly revamped website provides individuals in the cybersecurity field with easy access to tailored resources for their professional development journey. These developments mark significant milestones for ISC2, which was originally founded in 1989 as a certification body for the cybersecurity profession. The organization has now grown to over 500,000 community members, a testament to its efforts in attracting individuals from diverse backgrounds into the field and supporting their career growth.
ISC2’s growth can be attributed, in part, to its One Million Certified in Cybersecurity initiative. This initiative aims to build a diverse and skilled cybersecurity workforce pipeline while addressing the global workforce gap, which currently stands at 3.4 million professionals. Over the past 11 months, ISC2 has enrolled more than 250,000 individuals in the Certified in Cybersecurity entry-level certification training and over 310,000 as ISC2 Candidates.
Advocacy and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have also been crucial drivers of ISC2’s growth. The organization has been proactive in providing a voice for its members and the cybersecurity profession among policymakers worldwide. It is committed to improving the accessibility of cybersecurity careers and promoting diversity within the industry.
Originally established to develop a certification program and common body of knowledge for cybersecurity professionals, ISC2 has expanded its offerings to meet the evolving needs of its diverse and global community. The organization now provides lifelong learning support for professionals throughout their careers, advocating for the growth, ethical best practices, and overall health of the cybersecurity field.
Professionals can benefit from ISC2’s premier cybersecurity certifications and training programs. The organization also offers continued education resources, including Skill-Builder courses and Certificates, to help members gain and maintain competencies in the field.
