Keeper Security, a leading provider of zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity software, has recently announced the integration of Keeper Secrets Manager (KSM) with ServiceNow. This integration allows enterprises to effectively manage and protect their secrets using a cloud-based platform that is both affordable and easy to deploy.

KSM is designed to secure infrastructure secrets such as API keys, database passwords, access keys, and certificates. It helps organizations eliminate secrets sprawl by removing hard-coded credentials from source code, config files, and CI/CD systems. On the other hand, ServiceNow offers workflow automation, service management, and business-process automation solutions to enterprises globally.

With the integration of KSM with ServiceNow, customers can leverage KSM for efficient and secure on-demand discovery, incident response, and as a custom credential provider. This empowers DevOps and DevSecOps teams with the critical tools they need to manage and protect their secrets.

Craig Lurey, the CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, highlighted the significance of the integration by stating, “By integrating with Keeper, ServiceNow users now have the ability to dynamically retrieve credentials from the Keeper Vault without storing any credentials on the instance. This furthers our mission to provide cost-effective, efficient, and robust cybersecurity solutions.”

Erica Volini, senior vice president of global partnerships at ServiceNow, emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing complex problems. She stated, “Partnerships succeed best when we lean into our unique skills and expertise and have a clear view into the problem we’re trying to solve. Keeper Secrets Manager extends our reach well beyond where we can go alone and represents the legacy and goals of the Now Platform. I am thrilled to see the continued innovation we will achieve together to help organizations succeed in the era of digital business.”

The integration of ServiceNow Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery Server with the Keeper Vault offers several benefits to enterprises. It enables ServiceNow Orchestration, ServiceNow Discovery, and ServiceNow Service Mapping to seamlessly retrieve credentials from the user’s vault, without storing any credentials on the ServiceNow instance. This is crucial in avoiding integration and audit challenges, and reducing an organization’s attack surface.

Furthermore, the integration allows for external credential storage for discovery and orchestration, and it can be used as a Custom Credential Provider, providing customers with unprecedented security, efficiency, and ease-of-use. This helps organizations improve their security posture by eliminating secrets sprawl and avoiding potential security risks and compliance issues.

Overall, the integration of KSM with ServiceNow represents a significant advancement in cybersecurity solutions, providing enterprises with the tools they need to effectively manage and protect their secrets in an increasingly complex digital landscape. The partnership between Keeper Security and ServiceNow is set to drive continued innovation, ultimately helping organizations succeed in the era of digital business.
