The Coalition for Secure AI, an open-source initiative focused on promoting secure-by design AI technologies, continues to grow its network of stakeholders in business and academia. The coalition aims to develop holistic approaches, best practices, tools, and methodologies to ensure the security of AI development and deployment processes.

This week, Cyware, a vendor specializing in threat intelligence management, collaboration, and response orchestration, joined CoSAI as a new member. The coalition, which counts Google among its founding members, also includes companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Nvidia, and PayPal.

CoSAI has identified three key work streams to address various aspects of AI security. These work streams focus on software supply chain security for AI systems, preparing defenders for the evolving cybersecurity landscape, and AI risk governance. The coalition plans to expand into additional areas in the future to further its mission of enhancing AI security practices.

Cyware, as a new member of CoSAI, will leverage its expertise in AI-enabled security solutions to contribute to the development of industry standards that prioritize safety, ethics, and transparency in AI development. The company’s involvement highlights the collaborative nature of CoSAI, where industry leaders come together to shape the future of AI security.

Operating under the umbrella of OASIS Open, an international standards and open-source consortium, CoSAI benefits from the support of a larger community dedicated to advancing projects in various areas, including cybersecurity, blockchain, IoT, emergency management, cloud computing, and legal data exchange. This partnership ensures that CoSAI has access to a wide range of resources and expertise to drive its mission forward.

Overall, the continued growth of CoSAI and the addition of Cyware as a new member underscore the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in ensuring the security of AI technologies.
