A former CIA officer, Joshua Schulte, has been handed a 40-year jail term for leaking a cache of classified hacking tools to the whistle-blowing platform Wikileaks and possessing child abuse images. The US justice department declared Schulte’s document dump to Wikileaks in 2017 as the biggest data breach in CIA history, comprising 8,761 documents from the agency’s “Vault 7” tools.
