Holiverse, a decentralized digital platform built on the Polygon blockchain, recently organized a live broadcast from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on February 8. The event highlighted the launch of a memory capsule to the Moon alongside the privately developed Peregrine lunar lander. This lunar “cargo carrier” carried scientific instruments, NASA’s equipment, and cultural artifacts, including a digital copy of the U.S. Constitution.

The mission was launched in January from Cape Canaveral, Florida, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Grant Blaisdell, co-founder of Copernic Space, led the initiative to send a digital copy of the U.S. Constitution to the Moon. Alongside Spacebit founder Pavlo Tanasyuk, they plan to send a physical copy of the document to Earth’s natural satellite in the future. Tanasyuk emphasized the symbolic importance of the mission, stating that it represents a bridge between America’s past and future, preserving the principles of freedom and democracy beyond Earth.

Holiverse and Spacebit collaborated to present a specially crafted physical copy of the U.S. Constitution at Cape Canaveral on February 8. The presentation was made accessible to a global audience through a live video broadcast on Holiverse’s platform. This allowed people from around the world to witness this historic moment, regardless of their location. The event aimed to showcase the collaborative efforts behind the mission and provide insights into future lunar and space exploration endeavors.

Looking ahead, a team of space industry partners is working towards sending a physical copy of the U.S. Constitution to the Moon by the end of 2025. Active preparations are underway, with the document being placed in a capsule built from high-strength materials capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of space. This mission holds significant historical importance as it aims to preserve cultural heritage beyond Earth. The memory capsule, also known as a “lunar archive,” will also include photographs, children’s messages from various countries, and drawings.

Overall, the recent advancements in the American space industry, facilitated by Holiverse and its partners, mark a significant step towards preserving humanity’s legacy and expanding our understanding of space exploration. By leveraging modern technology and collaborative efforts, these initiatives are bringing us closer to a future where our principles and values can transcend the boundaries of Earth.
