OpenText, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions, has introduced a new AI-powered cybersecurity tool called OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response. This new solution will be included in the Cloud Editions 25.2 and aims to enhance threat detection capabilities for organizations.

In recent years, OpenText has been expanding its cybersecurity portfolio to provide enterprises with advanced threat hunting, detection, and response capabilities. With the rise of machine-to-machine attacks both inside and outside organizations, OpenText is committed to helping businesses strengthen their defense strategies.

OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response will be available on Microsoft Azure and will be closely integrated with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Security Copilot. This integration will enable organizations to quickly identify and mitigate attacks before they can cause significant damage.

Moreover, OpenText offers a threat integration studio that allows customers to incorporate telemetry data from various network solutions, applications, security tools, and enterprise technologies into the Core Threat Detection and Response platform.

The OpenText Cybersecurity Cloud addresses a wide range of security challenges, including application and data protection, identity and access management, security operations, and digital forensics. With over 7,500 global enterprise customers, OpenText is recognized as a leader in cybersecurity, providing cutting-edge solutions to safeguard organizations of all sizes.

While external threats often take the spotlight in security strategies, insider threats pose a significant risk as well. Whether intentional, accidental, or the result of stolen credentials, insider-related incidents can be costly and challenging to detect. In fact, according to a report by Ponemon and Sullivan, insider-related incidents now cost organizations an average of $16.2 million annually.

To address these challenges, OpenText has developed Core Threat Detection and Response along with threat hunting services and integration toolkits. These solutions aim to enhance organizations’ proactive detection measures and adapt threat analysis to their unique behaviors.

According to Muhi Majzoub, OpenText EVP of Security Products, the Cybersecurity Cloud represents a significant advancement in advanced threat detection and investigation. The solution is designed to be user-friendly, easy to implement, and compatible with existing security tools for identity management, data loss prevention, and endpoint protection.

In summary, OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response offers elevated security posture, rapid detection and elimination of threats, adaptive learning capabilities, simplified deployment, cost prevention, and ROI maximization for customers. The solution is currently available as a limited release to select customers, with plans for wider availability in the future.

Overall, OpenText’s Core Threat Detection and Response solution represents a significant step forward in the field of cybersecurity, providing organizations with the tools they need to protect against evolving threats in today’s digital landscape.
