Dig Security enhances image file scanning to detect sensitive customer data using OCR capabilities.

Dig Security has recently announced the addition of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) support to its Dig Data Security Platform. This new feature allows Dig to detect sensitive customer data in image files, such as passports and driver’s licenses, that are stored in multi-cloud environments. With enterprises increasingly collecting and storing data in image files, the ability to map all the sensitive data becomes crucial to prevent mass exposure.

This platform enhancement positions Dig as a leading player in the market, as it now provides the only Data Security and Privacy Management (DSPM) platform with critical OCR capabilities. The rapid digital transformation brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant number of scanned documents in public cloud environments.
