Silver Spring, United States / Maryland, January 15th, 2025 – Aembit, a pioneering company in non-human identity and access management (IAM), has revealed the detailed agenda for NHIcon 2025, an exclusive virtual event centered around advancing non-human identity security. Scheduled to stream live on January 28, the event will feature industry expert Kevin Mandia as the headline speaker.

NHIcon 2025 is a joint effort by Aembit and Veza, with support from leading industry partners including the Identity Defined Security Alliance and the Cloud Security Alliance. The event aims to bring together insights from the cybersecurity and DevSecOps sectors to offer technical guidance and practical solutions for securing non-human identities such as service accounts, AI agents, and other software workloads.

The complexity introduced by the widespread adoption of cloud technologies, the proliferation of APIs and microservices, and the expanding scope of machine-to-machine communication has accentuated the challenges associated with securing non-human identities. Traditional identity management tools and practices often fall short in providing the necessary visibility and control, leaving organizations vulnerable to security breaches.

With non-human identities playing a central role in modern infrastructure, the need to secure them has emerged as a top priority for enterprises globally. In fact, Gartner has identified machine identity management as a key security trend for 2025, underscoring the critical nature of addressing this aspect of cybersecurity.

David Goldschlag, the CEO and co-founder of Aembit, shared his vision for NHIcon, emphasizing the event’s significance in prompting organizations to rethink their approach to non-human identity security. He highlighted the event’s unique format, aimed at delivering actionable insights and fostering a deeper understanding of securing identities crucial for driving enterprise innovation.

NHIcon 2025 promises to offer an interactive platform for learning and collaboration, allowing attendees to engage with industry experts, connect with a global community of identity security professionals, and explore cutting-edge strategies for safeguarding non-human identities in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Industry luminary Kevin Mandia, known for co-founding Ballistic Ventures and establishing Mandiant, will offer his insights on the evolving threat landscape, focusing on identity security and the increasing role of AI in cybersecurity. The event will also feature keynote sessions from prominent figures such as Talha Tariq, Chief Security Officer at HashiCorp, discussing zero-trust principles for non-human identities, and Heather Flanagan, Executive Director of IDPro, delving into modernizing identity standards.

Technical sessions led by experts like Software Architect Victor Ronin and CEO of TAG Cyber, Ed Amoroso, will provide practical guidance on transitioning from hardcoded to hardened non-human identities and securing them in complex environments, respectively. Additionally, a panel discussion featuring security leaders from Twilio, Grafana Labs, and SoFi will address business and compliance risks associated with non-human identities.

Registration for NHIcon 2025 is free and open to all interested individuals, with more details available at NHIcon.com.
