Acronis, a prominent cyber protection provider, has announced its membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), a coalition of independent software vendors (ISV) and managed security service providers (MSSP) dedicated to integrating their solutions with Microsoft security technology to strengthen defenses against escalating cybersecurity threats.

As an advocate of natively integrated applications and services primarily used by service providers to enhance productivity and efficiency, Acronis offers Cyber Protect Cloud, an advanced single, integrated solution that simplifies complexity and provides unparalleled protection against a wide array of cyber threats. Additionally, it features the Acronis Ecosystem, which includes over 200 integrations with third-party vendors.

Gaidar Magdanurov, President at Acronis, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that over 20,000 MSPs use Acronis to protect and manage their customers’ endpoints, applications, and data, many of which are Microsoft CSP Direct or Indirect Resellers seeking synergies between Microsoft, Acronis, and other vendors. With the integration of Acronis’ Cyber Cloud Protect with Microsoft Intune, MSPs can now manage customer endpoints with Microsoft Intune and deploy Acronis managed security and backup services quickly and easily to their customers, all from a single agent and interface.

The collaboration between Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud and Microsoft Intune enables partners to deploy Acronis agents and implement protection plans based on Microsoft Entra ID groups through Microsoft Intune, aligning with Microsoft best practices. This partnership aims to provide MSPs with a more accessible experience for effectively enabling an integrated ecosystem.

Acronis’ partnership within MISA emphasizes its commitment to cybersecurity and integration with Microsoft Intune, demonstrating a long-term dedication to the Microsoft relationship. This collaboration facilitates close collaboration between members to improve customer security, with each new participant bringing valuable expertise to expand the association’s effectiveness.

Maria Thomson, Director of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, commended Acronis’ membership, highlighting the association’s commitment to collaboration within the cybersecurity community to enhance customers’ ability to predict, detect, and respond to security threats.

As Acronis continues to deepen its dedication to cybersecurity, integration with other leading technologies will likely remain a strategic move. Partnering with MISA represents a significant step in the ongoing mission to effectively combat the ever-present threat of cybercrime. This partnership is a testament to Acronis’ commitment to advancing cybersecurity solutions and leveraging the collective expertise of industry leaders.
