Appdome has introduced a new AI-Native threat-management module, known as Threat Dynamics, which will now be available within Appdome’s ThreatScope Mobile XDR platform. This module utilizes AI deep learning to continuously assess the likelihood of successful exploits from over 400 attack vectors, generating a Mobile Risk Index for each business and mobile application. The aim is to enable businesses to track the movement of threats within their production environment, enabling them to prioritize high-impact attack vectors and proactively combat potential threats before they escalate.

By leveraging Threat Dynamics, businesses can benchmark and manage their risk against Appdome’s extensive data stream of mobile fraud, scams, bots, and cyber threat events on a monthly basis. These new features complement ThreatScope Mobile XDR’s existing capabilities in real-time threat intelligence, inspection, and rapid response. CEO of Appdome, Tom Tovar, emphasized the importance of preempting mobile threats before they become a significant challenge for businesses, highlighting the need for AI-driven reconnaissance and benchmarking capabilities.

As the mobile landscape evolves, the prevalence of fraud and cyber-attacks in the mobile economy has increased substantially, with various adversaries including hacker communities, criminal organizations, and AI-powered attacks. Attack vectors such as account takeover, on-device fraud, scams, identity theft, and bot attacks are on the rise, prompting mobile businesses to seek solutions that can accelerate their defense strategies and mitigate risks effectively.

With the integration of Threat Dynamics, mobile businesses can harness a vast and diverse data stream of mobile fraud and threat events to implement a comprehensive and continuous approach to threat management. According to Eric Newcomer, CTO at Intellyx, Appdome’s AI-driven defense model and extensive data set provide businesses with the ability to anticipate and respond to fraud and cyber-attacks effectively in the mobile channel. The focus is on consolidating fraud and threat data from mobile business operations into a unified platform, enabling immediate responses to potential threats and attacks.

The conventional approach of relying on data siloes and basic severity classifications is no longer sufficient for mobile businesses. Point products aimed at mobile security, fraud prevention, KYC checks, and identity verification often provide fragmented data insights, limiting the ability to aggregate, analyze, and predict future attack trends effectively. Appdome’s Threat Dynamics leverages AI and big data analytics to continuously assess and rank mobile threats, offering a holistic view of risks for each mobile business and application.

By analyzing trends such as infection rates, attack frequency, velocity, cohort placement, and projected impact, mobile businesses can gain valuable insights into the dynamics of fraud, cyber-attacks, and threats across various dimensions.
