To effectively engage in the metaverse, businesses are encouraged to develop a strong digital culture by positioning IT at the core of the business and prioritizing innovation. This involves creating immersive experiences, developing new approaches to engagement, and connecting the metaverse to other business channels to drive mainstream consumer adoption. Curiosity, resilience, and data-driven decision-making are also essential for businesses to thrive in the metaverse environment.

Meanwhile, investing in cybersecurity measures such as multi-factor authentication, digital rights management, vulnerability testing, and patch management is crucial to protect digital assets and identities in the metaverse. Building a metaverse-ready workforce also requires businesses to view digital as a value rather than a format, and as they become more comfortable in the metaverse environment, they can better identify and capitalize on the opportunities it presents.
