Cato Networks, a prominent provider of the world’s leading single-vendor SASE platform, has revealed that Senior Director of Security Strategy, Etay Maor, and Director of Product Marketing, Greg Duffy, are set to speak at the upcoming Tech Show London, part of the Cloud Expo Europe and DevOps Live co-located events.
Scheduled for the 6th – 7th of March at the ExCel, the event is expected to attract nearly 15,000 cybersecurity and technology professionals from around the country. Maor will take the stage on the first day at the Cloud Expo Europe Keynote Theatre to delve into the critical issue of AI in Cybersecurity.
The presentation is anticipated to offer new perspectives on the dual role of AI in cybersecurity, exploring how defenders can utilize AI to enhance security measures while also highlighting how attackers can leverage AI to exploit weaknesses in infrastructure and design. Following a recent assessment by the NCSC that projects an increase in cyber threats over the next two years due to AI advancements, Maor’s talk comes at a crucial time for the industry, providing valuable insights for companies seeking to understand the implications of AI on cybersecurity.
In Maor’s viewpoint, the imminent threat of AI-based attacks may not be as significant as hyped, citing limitations such as ‘hallucinations’ and model constraints that hinder the potential impact. However, Maor foresees the role of Large Language Models (LLMs) in enhancing specific elements of attacks, such as email creation and social engineering. He emphasizes that while AI cannot replace human intelligence, those who can effectively leverage AI will have a competitive edge.
Key focal points of Maor’s talk include Defensive AI Strategies, exploring AI models used by defenders to detect and prevent cyber attacks, as well as Targeting LLM Models, shedding light on attacker methodologies to exploit Large Language Models. Additionally, the session will address the relevance of AI beyond conversational agents, looking into the various ways threat actors are integrating AI into their attacks.
In the DevSecOps Theatre on the 7th of March, Greg Duffy will tackle the topic of delivering networking and security for the cloud with SASE, offering essential guidance on collaboration, strategy, and vendor selection for successful implementation. Duffy emphasizes the critical role of SASE in modern digital business architecture, highlighting the importance of collaboration between network and security teams for project success.
Key insights from Duffy’s session will cover strategies for delivering networking and security in the cloud using SASE, tips for effective collaboration on SASE strategy, and guidelines for selecting the right SASE platform vendor. Cato SASE Cloud, known for its consumer-like simplicity in deployment and management, recently introduced Cato XDR, the world’s first SASE-based Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution, further enhancing its security offerings.
Attendees can catch Etay Maor’s talk at the Cloud Expo Europe Keynote Theatre on March 6 at 12:45, and Greg Duffy’s presentation at the DevSecOps Theatre on March 7 at 10:40.
