Additionally, it comes in the wake of Check Point joining over 100 other technology and security firms in supporting OpenAI’s call for a collaborative global enhancement of cyber defenses. This movement underscores the importance of a unified front in combating emerging cybersecurity threats that continue to evolve amid rapid technological advancements.

In a blog post outlining the expansion, Check Point’s Chief Technology Officer, Jonathan Zanger, emphasized that the company’s efforts will not cease with prior milestones. He highlighted the necessity for security measures to dynamically adapt in response to new threats and the changing capabilities of attackers, as well as the growing enterprise adoption of AI technologies. “Security needs to keep evolving,” Zanger stated, pointing out the challenges posed by the evolving technology stacks and the sophistication of cyber threats.

The goal of this new integration is to leverage OpenAI’s advanced cyber reasoning across the entire security lifecycle. By combining OpenAI’s capabilities with Check Point’s existing security intelligence, contextual insights, and enforcement mechanisms, customers can transform overwhelming amounts of raw security data into validated risks. This transition enables quicker, actionable decisions, ultimately leading to faster and more effective protective measures against cyber threats.

Four Areas of Integration

Check Point has identified four key areas of its security platform that will incorporate the Daybreak models:

Agentic Exposure Validation: Within the framework of Check Point’s Exposure Management product, the Daybreak models are being piloted in a multi-agent pipeline designed to differentiate genuinely exploitable risks from theoretical vulnerabilities. This integration combines AI reasoning with Check Point’s security context to effectively validate possible attack paths and prioritize remediation efforts.

  2. Agentic Security Management: The models will be integrated into Check Point’s autonomous, intent-driven network security management approach. They will facilitate the exploration of potential attack paths, assist in understanding vulnerabilities and risky exposures, and pinpoint appropriate fixes. This development aims to streamline the management of security policies, thereby reducing the reliance on manual oversight.

  3. Autonomous Workspace Platform: Within the Harmony suite, which encompasses email, endpoint, mobile, and browser telemetry, the Daybreak models will analyze malware behavior, attacker techniques, and credential abuse tracks. The application of these models is expected to yield clearer conclusions and remediation guidance, thus alleviating the burden on security teams tasked with protecting organizational assets.

  4. Vulnerability Research: The models are poised to enhance the speed and effectiveness of analyzing vulnerable code and patches. They will help identify realistic exploitation paths and achieve verified results more quickly, without having to depend on publicly available exploit code. This capability is projected to lead to quicker protection against newly disclosed security vulnerabilities.

Check Point has adopted a phased approach for the rollout of these enhancements. While some of the capabilities are already in production, others are under development and being tested in collaboration with design partners.
