Cisco, a leading company in networking and security, has recently revealed new capabilities and technologies aimed at providing a more unified and integrated approach to managing and securing customer networks. These new innovations are designed to address the core priorities of IT organizations, including security, automation, and a unified digital experience for end users, things, and applications.

Jonathan Davidson, EVP and GM of Cisco Networking, emphasized the critical interdependence between AI and the network, stating that “the future of AI depends on the network and the future of the network depends on AI.” He highlighted the vast amount of data feeding Cisco’s AI, which comes from over one billion endpoints. According to Davidson, this positions Cisco uniquely to simplify and secure network operations at any scale, ultimately contributing to an enhanced user experience.

One of the key areas of focus for Cisco is secure networking. They understand that users require a solution that provides a shared view across their entire network and offers a scalable way to enforce security policies without compromising user experience. To meet these needs, Cisco has introduced new integrations with their Secure Access service, allowing for a more unified approach to networking and security management, as well as enhanced security posture reporting for OT assets to help reduce the attack surface for industrial organizations.

In addition to addressing security concerns, Cisco is also committed to simplified operations. They are working towards a more unified portfolio experience by introducing Cloud Monitoring for Catalyst Wireless, allowing customers to manage select Catalyst wireless devices in the Meraki dashboard. Furthermore, the company is expanding its offering of converged and hyperconverged validated designs to address new use cases and support AI/ML deployments.

Moreover, Cisco is unveiling new technologies to help customers accelerate the adoption of AI by providing the right infrastructure for various use cases. The new Cisco UCS X-Series Direct is specifically designed for edge environments, providing connectivity and compute power to support more applications with less infrastructure. Additionally, Cisco is expanding its offering of converged and hyperconverged validated designs to address new use cases, leveraging recently announced Cisco Validated Solutions and AI/ML blueprint for data center networks.

Overall, Cisco’s latest innovations and technologies are aimed at powering a more inclusive future for all by helping customers reimagine their applications, secure their enterprise, transform their infrastructure, and meet their sustainability goals. With a focus on security, automation, and a unified digital experience, Cisco is positioned to address the evolving needs of IT organizations and contribute to a better user experience in the digital era.
