The hacker group Cyb3r Drag0nz Team has declared a cyber war against the Moroccan government in response to the government’s establishment of a team dedicated to identifying and prosecuting members of the hacker collective. As a result, the group has launched a cyber attack on various Moroccan government institutions, including the Ministry of National Education.

The Cyb3r Drag0nz Team claims to have successfully breached the Ministry of National Education, compromising the personal information of hundreds of students. The group announced this intrusion on their dark web channel, Cyb3r Dragonz. However, the alleged cyber attack on the Moroccan government has not been verified.

This is not the first time the Moroccan government has faced security incidents. In 2021, the General Directorate of Information Systems Security (DGSSI) reported detecting and thwarting 577 cybersecurity threats. The government has emphasized its commitment to fortifying its defenses against cyber threats and has implemented rigorous preventative measures. The DGSSI has issued numerous security bulletins and developed innovative cryptographic tools to intercept coded attacks.

Little is known about the Cyb3r Drag0nz Team, but they operate through various social media profiles and regularly update their claims of cyber attacks. They have chosen to announce their attacks on an Instagram page rather than relying solely on the dark web and Telegram. The group has targeted Islamic organizations and entities associated with Islamic countries. They have attacked prominent institutions such as the Central/Official Technical University of Iraq, passport users in Turkey, and various entities in Palestine. The group also posts screen recordings of their cyber attacks on social media channels.

As the conflict between the Cyb3r Drag0nz Team and the Moroccan government escalates, the security of sensitive information remains at risk. The motives and methods of this enigmatic group are still unclear. The Cyber Express will continue to closely monitor their activities and provide updates on the situation.
