Cisco recently rolled out security patches for its Crosswork and Secure Workload tools, which had exhibited flaws that could permit attackers to execute remote code and bypass authentication protocols. The Premier League has recently announced mandatory cybersecurity standards for all clubs, set to take effect in the 2026-27 season. The initiative will impose financial penalties for non-compliance, emphasizing the need for comprehensive security assessments and incident response planning. This move places the Premier League at the forefront of global sporting organizations in mandating cybersecurity controls, diverging from the previously adopted voluntary guidelines.
