Hyderabad: The upcoming SHIELD 2025 Cybersecurity Conclave, organized by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) and Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), is all set to address the prevailing challenges in the realm of cybercrime. The two-day event, scheduled to take place on Feb 18-19, aims to facilitate collaboration among law enforcement agencies, industry players, academic institutions, NGOs, and government bodies to combat cyber threats effectively.
The backdrop for this conclave is the concerning statistics from 2024, which revealed that India incurred losses amounting to ₹22,812 crore due to cybercrimes. Telangana alone witnessed a staggering number of 1,20,869 cybercrime victims last year, with the TGCSB managing to recover ₹183 crore for 17,912 victims.
During the curtain-raiser event held at the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), Shikha Goel, the director of TGCSB, emphasized that SHIELD 2025 is not just a conclave but a clarion call for action towards building a secure digital future. The conclave will encompass keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions focusing on crucial topics such as AI, blockchain, digital forensics, ransomware, and cryptocurrency.
