In a move to enhance its continuous exposure management platform, CYE has acquired Solvo, another Israeli-based cybersecurity company. The terms of the acquisition, which was announced on Wednesday, were not disclosed. This strategic deal aims to combine Solvo’s Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) offerings with CYE’s own Hyver platform.

CYE’s founder and CEO, Reuven Aronashvili, highlighted the significance of integrating Solvo’s CSPM capabilities into their platform. This integration, planned for the next quarter, will empower CYE’s customers to continuously evaluate and mitigate cyber risks in multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments. The Hyver platform, already providing visual representations of an organization’s security posture, will further enhance its capabilities by incorporating Solvo’s CSPM features.

The decision to bring Solvo’s CSPM capability into Hyver was fueled by the increasing trend of organizations migrating their systems and applications to the cloud. Aronashvili emphasized the necessity for native cloud environment access to address various critical elements such as access level, encryption level, and connectivity. By leveraging Solvo’s native integrations with major cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, CYE aims to deliver a comprehensive risk evaluation process that covers all aspects of cybersecurity.

Aronashvili’s background as a cyber security specialist in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) laid the foundation for CYE, which initially operated as a professional services company. However, in 2021, CYE introduced the Hyver platform after securing a significant $100 million funding round from EQT and 83 North. Subsequently, in 2023, CYE expanded its portfolio by acquiring Baseline’s vulnerability analysis platform from Cyberillium, enriching the Hyver platform with automated attack route creation and prioritization capabilities.

The acquisition of Solvo by CYE not only strengthens the latter’s position in the cybersecurity market but also enhances its ability to address the evolving challenges of cloud security. By combining the expertise and technologies of both companies, CYE is poised to offer innovative solutions that enable organizations to proactively manage and mitigate cyber risks in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
