individuals to succeed in the field, as well as various networking opportunities. Take advantage of these resources to learn and grow. Lastly, never stop learning and stay curious. The cyber security landscape is constantly evolving, and professionals are required to stay abreast of new threats, technologies, and strategies. My advice to those from underrepresented backgrounds is to remain persistent and determined, and not to shy away from tackling such challenges. just as I did. How are you working to bring about positive change in the industry? At Check Point, I am leading initiatives to drive change and foster a more diverse and inclusive cyber security community. This is not only essential for the industry as a whole but also an area in which I am personally investing my time and energy to see through the positive change. By partnering with various organizations at the local, regional, and national levels, including HISPA, ISC2 NJ Chapter, and We Are all Human, I am actively involved in mentoring, training, and guiding individuals who are exploring a career in cyber security, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. By sharing my own experiences, connecting with potential future cyber security professionals, and emphasizing the benefits and rewards of a career in this field, I aim to inspire and encourage individuals to take the necessary steps towards fulfilling their aspirations in cyber security. Furthermore, Check Point’s commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives plays a significant role in driving industry-wide progress, as we strive to create a more inclusive environment that welcomes and embraces individuals from all backgrounds. Through these combined efforts, I am dedicated to propelling positive change within the industry, fostering a more diverse, vibrant, and talented community of cyber security professionals. In conclusion, it’s evident that the cyber security industry is experiencing a significant shortage of skilled professionals, just as the severity and frequency of cyber threats continue to rise. As the threat landscape becomes increasingly complex, the need for diverse perspectives, skill sets, and approaches in cyber security is more crucial than ever. By working together and leveraging the unique strengths of a diverse workforce, we can collectively address this challenge and drive innovation and progress in the industry. As individuals from all backgrounds come together to protect the digital sphere, we can create a more resilient and secure cyber future for everyone. The global cyber security community has a critical role to play in leading this charge, and by fostering diversity and inclusion, we can pave the way for a more robust, prepared, and united front against cyber threats.
