Veeam Software recently announced the launch of a new initiative called the Veeam Cyber Secure Program, aimed at providing comprehensive cyber protection and support to customers. With the increasing frequency and severity of cyberattacks worldwide, the program is designed to equip customers with the tools they need to safeguard their data and recover rapidly in the event of a cyber incident.

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Veeam, John Jester, highlighted the crucial role that recovery plays in a company’s cybersecurity strategy. According to Jester, a majority of organizations have been targeted by cyberattacks, and recovery remains a major concern as only a small percentage believe they can successfully recover from an attack. The Veeam Cyber Secure Program is intended to address this issue by ensuring that customers follow best practices with Veeam solutions, enabling them to bounce forward from an outage or data loss.

The Veeam Cyber Secure Program consists of three primary components: Confident Security, Comprehensive Support During Cyber Incident, and Financial Protection. Customers receive advanced onboarding support and quarterly security assessments conducted by Veeam experts. In the event of a cyber incident, the Veeam Ransomware Response Team, which operates 24/7, guarantees prioritized 30-minute service level agreements. Additionally, the program offers a Veeam Ransomware Recovery Warranty, providing up to $5 million USD in data recovery expense reimbursement for a verified attack.

Notably, Veeam’s reputation for cyber resilience and ransomware protection has led to the acquisition of over 4,600 new enterprise customers in 2023. This has contributed to the company reaching an annual recurring revenue of more than $1 billion for the fifth consecutive year from 2019 to 2023.

Industry experts have also praised Veeam’s initiative. Christophe Bertrand, Practice Director at Enterprise Strategy Group, commended the multi-pronged program for its timeliness and necessity in the current heightened risk context. He highlighted the comprehensive onboarding support, regular security assessments, world-class support during crises, and a financial protection component as key strengths of the initiative.

In conclusion, the Veeam Cyber Secure Program represents a significant step in enhancing the cyber protection and support offered to customers. With the ongoing threat of cyberattacks, initiatives like these are crucial to bolstering the resilience of organizations against evolving cybersecurity threats. Veeam’s commitment to providing comprehensive support and financial protection in the face of cyber incidents demonstrates its dedication to helping customers navigate the complex and challenging landscape of cybersecurity.
