Fast-growing startup Wiz has made a bold declaration that it aims to achieve $1 billion in annual recurring revenue. The announcement comes just as the company has brought on board Dali Rajic, a former Zscaler executive, to serve as its new chief operating officer and president in preparation for its impending IPO.

Dali Rajic joined Wiz following a successful four-year tenure at Zscaler, where he also held the role of COO and president. His departure from the publicly traded cybersecurity firm, which boasts a market capitalization of $34 billion, marks a significant move for Wiz as it prepares for significant growth and expansion.

Wiz has been making waves in the cybersecurity industry, particularly after raising $300 million from investors, valuing the company at $10 billion, and positioning it as one of the leading venture-backed cybersecurity firms. With these financial backing and the addition of Rajic to its leadership team, Wiz is poised for further success in the market.

Under the leadership of Assaf Rappaport, Wiz’s co-founder and CEO, the company is aiming to triple its current annual recurring revenue of $350 million, citing major clients from “over 40% of the Fortune 100.” Rappaport expressed his enthusiasm for Rajic’s appointment, praising his track record in scaling innovative companies and highlighting the value he brings to the Wiz team.

Rajic’s new role at Wiz will center around driving the company’s growth strategy as it moves towards its anticipated initial public offering. Wiz, which was originally established in Tel Aviv, currently has a workforce of 900 employees and plans to add an additional 400 to its headcount, as reported by Reuters. This hiring spree aligns with the company’s ambitious growth plans and sets it apart from other cybersecurity firms that have been undergoing layoffs amid shifting market dynamics.

Wiz offers a cloud-native application protection platform and has been recognized for its consolidated approach to detection, vulnerability, and misconfiguration. The company’s CEO, Rappaport, has articulated its commitment to bringing all the signals into one place, reducing noise, building trust with developers and DevOps teams, and delivering only the most critical and relevant insights to its customers.

As Wiz gears up to achieve its $1 billion annual recurring revenue milestone, all eyes will be on the company’s innovative approach to cloud security and its ability to capitalize on the expertise and leadership of executives like Dali Rajic. With a clear vision and a track record of success, Wiz is poised to make a significant impact on the cybersecurity landscape and establish itself as a key player in the industry.
