Oomnitza co-founder and CEO Arthur Lozinski discusses the emergence of enterprise technology management (ETM) as a unified system of process for managing various types of technology within an organization. In a recent episode of CyberEd.io’s podcast series “Cybersecurity Insights,” Lozinski explains how ETM automates workflows across software, hardware, and infrastructure assets, eliminating the need for separate software asset management, hardware asset management, and infrastructure asset management solutions.

According to Lozinski, ETM takes a holistic approach to managing technology within an enterprise, covering aspects such as security, compliance, financial concerns, and customer/end-user experience. By breaking down silos and incorporating automation, ETM streamlines processes and enhances overall efficiency.

One key aspect that Lozinski highlights is the importance of uniting security and IT within an organization, which in turn unifies the roles of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO). He argues that the responsibilities of a CISO and a CIO ultimately overlap and should be considered as part of a cohesive approach to managing technology.

In addition, Lozinski points out the shift towards highly digitally native retail environments, such as Apple stores, as opposed to more traditional retail establishments like Sears. This shift underscores the need for organizations to adapt to changing technological landscapes and embrace innovation in their approach to IT management.

As the co-founder of Oomnitza, Lozinski is committed to scaling the company’s reach and promoting the adoption of enterprise technology management. Alongside his co-founders Trent Seed and Ramin Ettehad, Lozinski aims to revolutionize the way organizations manage and secure their IT assets.

Overall, the rise of enterprise technology management represents a new era in IT management, where automation and integration play a vital role in optimizing processes and enhancing overall efficiency. By adopting ETM, organizations can streamline their technology management practices and stay ahead in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
