Enzoic recently announced the release of the latest version of Enzoic for Active Directory, a solution designed to help organizations monitor, identify, and address unsafe credentials within their systems. By screening username and password combinations against Enzoic’s database, the solution aims to eliminate weak, exposed, or shared passwords, ultimately reducing the risk of a successful account takeover.

According to the Verizon DBIR, compromised credentials continue to be a primary method used by cybercriminals to gain access to organizations, with Active Directory being a frequent target. In fact, the report found that 50% of organizations have experienced an attack on their Active Directory. This, combined with the widespread issue of password reuse, highlights the importance of ongoing monitoring and risk identification for businesses.

The latest release of Enzoic for Active Directory offers companies detailed insights into their IT environment, helping them ensure that passwords are not left exposed or vulnerable. By automating the monitoring and detection processes, the solution aims to reduce the workload on IT teams while making it easy for employees to adhere to secure password practices.

Mike Wilson, CTO of Enzoic, emphasized the importance of addressing password vulnerabilities in today’s expanding threat landscape. He noted that the comprehensive solution was developed in collaboration with customer feedback, providing IT teams with a straightforward way to identify and remediate credential risks within their Active Directory environment.

Key features of the latest release include an actionable dashboard that centralizes password management, allowing IT teams to quickly respond to compromised user accounts. The dashboard provides detailed information on exposure history, policy enforcement, and user actions, enabling organizations to improve education and policy enforcement around password security.

The updated solution also offers increased visibility into user behavior, with alerts that highlight potential security risks beyond exposed credentials. This includes identifying users with administrative privileges, detecting password sharing, and flagging inactive accounts. With the ability to set time zone preferences for alerts, administrators can stay informed about potential security issues in real time.

In an effort to reduce the workload on IT teams, the latest release allows Enzoic to pull product logs remotely, providing detailed information for troubleshooting without requiring manual intervention. Additionally, organizations can now configure personalized SMTP servers for email alerts, streamlining communication and response processes.

Lastly, the update introduces refined permission management, allowing users to access the dashboard, view reports, and update configuration settings without the need for Domain or Enterprise administrator rights. This new least-privileged group ensures that organizations can delegate permissions effectively while maintaining security standards.

Overall, the latest version of Enzoic for Active Directory offers a comprehensive solution for addressing credential vulnerabilities and enhancing password security within organizations. By providing granular insights, reducing IT workload, and improving visibility into user behavior, the solution aims to help businesses protect their Active Directory environments from potential security threats.
