Honeywell, a technology company based in Atlanta, announced today the release of a new cybersecurity solution for its customers. The Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+| Cyber Insights is designed to improve the availability, reliability, and safety of industrial control systems and operations. The solution has been designed specifically to integrate information from various operational technology (OT) data sources, allowing customers to get actionable insights into their facilities’ cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats. This, in turn, helps them better manage their compliance strategy and reduce overall cybersecurity risks.

As companies with OT systems face challenges in obtaining necessary cybersecurity information, they also struggle to reduce cybersecurity risks and stay compliant with standards and regulations. This is compounded by a shortage of available cybersecurity skills within the operational technology sector, with a cyber security workforce gap of more than 3.4 million people. Honeywell believes that the Cyber Insights solution can help reduce these risks by providing customers with detection and insights to help cybersecurity leaders better understand and monitor their facilities’ current security profile, while also being able to detect and mitigate the latest threats.

Michael Ruiz, Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell OT Cybersecurity Innovation, believes that organizations should leverage technology to address worker shortages and gain clear visibility into their OT facilities’ cybersecurity posture. Doing so will help them make faster decisions and reduce cyber risk. Cyber Insights is a tool designed to provide customers with detection and insights, helping cybersecurity leaders understand and monitor their facilities’ current security profile while also detecting and mitigating the latest threats.

The Cyber Insights solution is designed with a tailored approach, providing a purpose-built cybersecurity solution for OT environments and users. This solution is pre-configured for OT use. Customization options are available to address specific needs unique to different industrial environments, while being vendor agnostic so that it can be deployed on Honeywell control systems as well as many other systems. The solution is also deployed, supported, and maintained by Honeywell Cyber Care services during the applicable subscription license term. This helps customers maintain continuous tuning and optimization, ensuring that their systems run in peak form.

Avimanyu Basu, senior lead analyst at ISG, believes that Honeywell has successfully positioned itself as a “one-stop-shop” system integrator and solution provider across different spectrums of operational technology (OT) cybersecurity for over twenty years. Being vendor-agnostic, Honeywell is well-equipped to work on almost any device and provide the necessary services for assessment and remediation.

Honeywell Forge is an intelligent operations software that connects assets, people, and processes, enabling operational performance, sustainability, and quality improvement. For more information about Honeywell OT Cybersecurity solutions, visit their website at www.becybersecure.com.

In conclusion, Honeywell’s new cybersecurity solution, Honeywell Forge Cybersecurity+| Cyber Insights, is designed to integrate information from multiple OT data sources to provide a customer with actionable insights into their facility’s cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats. This will allow customers to manage their compliance strategy while helping reduce overall cybersecurity risks. The Cyber Insights solution is vendor agnostic and pre-configured for OT use, and customization options are available to address specific needs unique to different industrial environments. The solution is deployed, supported, and maintained by Honeywell Cyber Care services during the applicable subscription license term. This will help customers maintain continuous tuning and optimization to ensure that their systems run at peak performance.
