Leading cybersecurity provider Hornetsecurity has recently announced the launch of its Plan 4 ‘Compliance & Awareness’ solution as part of the 365 Total Protection Suite. This new plan offers organizations a higher level of defense and compliance with the help of new artificial intelligence (AI) tools, a security awareness service, and permission management for Microsoft 365.
The Plan 4 is designed to cover a broader range of an organization’s Microsoft 365 security, compliance management, and data protection needs. It aims to prevent existing and potential risks of spam, malware, and threats. With the growing sophistication of cyber-hacking and the increase in targeted email attacks, having comprehensive protection and preventive measures in place becomes crucial to mitigating the risk of potential data breaches.
One of the notable features of the 365 Total Protection Plan 4 is the AI Recipient Validation. This feature provides security and compliance managers with true visibility into how often employees are exposed to potentially misdirected emails and how they respond to them. By analyzing user behavior and responses, the AI system continuously updates its understanding of the user’s email communication patterns. It then adjusts warnings for outgoing emails accordingly, preventing users from receiving redundant warnings.
Additionally, the new plan includes the Security Awareness Service, which aims to strengthen employees’ security awareness. This service runs fully automated and continuously measures employees’ security behavior. It uses the Employee Security Index (ESI®) metric to assess employees’ knowledge and awareness of cybersecurity risks. Based on this metric, additional training and phishing simulations can be customized to individuals’ specific needs. The service ensures that employees actively learn how to protect themselves and their organizations, thereby reducing the likelihood of security breaches caused by human error.
Moreover, the 365 Total Protection Plan 4 also introduces the 365 Permission Manager to simplify permission management in Microsoft 365. Handling permission management is complex, and any failure to do so properly can easily result in data leaks. With the 365 Permission Manager, admins and CISOs can have an easy-to-understand view of all permissions. This tool enables effortless auditing, management, compliance policy enforcement, and violation monitoring, providing a comprehensive solution for data loss prevention.
Daniel Hofmann, the CEO of Hornetsecurity, expressed the significance of having comprehensive protection and preventive measures in the face of evolving cyber threats. He believes that organizations equipped with the latest version of 365 Total Protection will have the necessary tools to holistically manage risks across security, archive and backup, compliance, and security awareness.
