Huntress Expands Its Footprint Through Partnership with Giacom
Huntress, a recognized leader in cybersecurity, has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with UK-based channel marketplace, Giacom. This collaboration grants managed service providers (MSPs) on Giacom’s Cloud Market platform direct access to Huntress’ innovative Agentic Security Platform, along with its 24/7 AI-centered Security Operations Centre (SOC). This agreement marks a significant opportunity for MSPs seeking to bolster their security offerings and enhance the protective measures available to their clients.
The announcement of this partnership comes alongside a similar agreement with MSP Nordics, covering pivotal regions such as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. These initiatives reflect Huntress’ broader strategy to extend its reach across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The primary objective of these partnerships is to alleviate the challenges MSPs face in integrating enterprise-grade detection and response capabilities without incurring the burden of establishing new vendor relationships.
Giacom serves an expansive network of over 6,000 MSPs and technology providers throughout the UK. Its Cloud Market platform offers a comprehensive suite of services, including cloud, connectivity, mobile, hardware, and security solutions from numerous vendors. By incorporating Huntress into its product catalog, Giacom enables its partners to provide managed endpoint detection and response (EDR), identity threat detection and response (ITDR), identity and endpoint security posture management, managed Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and security awareness training. This collection of services can be accessed through a distribution model that many partners are already familiar with, streamlining the process of enhancing security offerings.
The partnership not only expands Giacom’s service offerings but also reinforces Huntress’ already established alliance with Microsoft. This integration provides Huntress with a pathway to reach MSPs leveraging Giacom’s established Microsoft practice. This connection is particularly vital for MSPs that are still vulnerable to modern threats such as ransomware, business email compromise, account takeover, phishing, and misuse of legitimate remote management tools.
Carl Oliver, the Head of Product & Cloud Practice at Giacom, emphasized the growing pressure on MSPs to deliver robust security solutions while minimizing operational complexities. He noted, “Huntress stands out for its ability to deliver high-quality managed detection and response in a manner that is uniquely tailored for MSPs and supported by specialist assistance around the clock.” He further explained that incorporating Huntress into Giacom’s portfolio empowers partners to strengthen their security services, better support their customers, and open new avenues for growth.
Kevin Hallmark, Head of Global Distribution at Huntress, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Scaling security across regions depends on trusted relationships within those markets.” He highlighted that Giacom and MSP Nordics possess the relationships, regional knowledge, and partner-first ethos essential to equipping more MSPs in the UK and Nordic regions. These regions, Hallmark explained, are particularly susceptible to attacks from modern cybercriminals.
Currently, Huntress safeguards more than five million endpoints and 13 million identities on a global scale. Its analyst-led SOC frequently stands as one of the first lines of defense in significant cybersecurity incidents affecting the broader security community. Huntress positions itself as a leader in making enterprise-grade protection accessible to organizations that may lack the financial resources or internal expertise necessary to combat evolving cyber threats.
The agreements with Giacom and MSP Nordics highlight a growing trend in the channel landscape. Security vendors are increasingly opting to collaborate with regional distributors that already hold trust and market reach rather than pursuing direct sales. This approach is designed to accelerate the adoption of security solutions among smaller and mid-sized MSPs.
In summary, the strategic partnership between Huntress and Giacom embodies a significant advancement in enhancing security capabilities for managed service providers in the UK and beyond. As cyber threats become more sophisticated, such collaborations are crucial in fortifying defenses, ensuring that MSPs can deliver top-notch security outcomes for their clients while navigating the complexities of the cybersecurity landscape.
