Hyderabad police apprehend 3 individuals for sharing child pornographic content | Hyderabad News

Three people have been apprehended in Hyderabad, by the Cyber Crime police force, for their alleged involvement in circulating child pornography. The arrests were made in different locations within Telangana, in separate incidents. According to reports, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) provided a tip-off to the authorities, prompting them to take action against the culprits.

The police officials revealed that they conducted a preliminary investigation using various leads such as IP addresses, mobile numbers, and email IDs to track down the suspects. This information was then forwarded to the NCMEC to aid in the identification of individuals engaged in creating, sharing, or disseminating child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

In one particular case, law enforcement arrested a 35-year-old man from Medak district for downloading child pornography from multiple websites, viewing the explicit content, and then sharing it with his friends via social media platforms. Additionally, two more individuals, aged 36 and 22, from Hyderabad were also taken into custody for their involvement in circulating child pornography. The older suspect reportedly works in a welding shop, while the younger individual is a student.

Authorities have issued a stern warning to the public, advising against the sharing of inappropriate material as it could have serious legal repercussions. They have urged parents to closely monitor their children’s online activities, educate them on internet safety practices, enable privacy settings, and utilize parental control tools when necessary to safeguard against such illicit activities.

The crackdown on individuals circulating child pornography underscores the grave nature of online crimes against children and the need for heightened vigilance and proactive measures to combat such heinous acts. The police are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of minors and are actively pursuing all leads to apprehend those involved in such illicit activities.

It is imperative for society as a whole to come together and take a stand against the dissemination of child sexual abuse material, and to work collectively towards creating a safer online environment for children. By staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities, we can contribute to safeguarding the innocence and well-being of our most vulnerable population – our children.
