ImmuniWeb, a leading cybersecurity company, has introduced a new feature to its free Community Edition that allows users to test the security, privacy, and compliance of their email servers. With the recent surge in phishing and other attacks targeting corporate emails, this tool comes as a timely solution.

A recent report by Trend Micro revealed that both the sophistication and volume of phishing attacks have been increasing in 2023. Additionally, Proofpoint’s report highlighted that financial damages caused by phishing attacks have nearly doubled compared to the previous year. These alarming statistics emphasize the urgent need for robust email security measures.

ImmuniWeb’s internal statistics from their ImmuniWeb Discovery solution support these findings. The number of phishing websites targeting customers from over 50 countries has increased by 59% compared to the same period in 2022. This alarming trend underscores the importance of proactive measures to combat phishing attacks.

One of the significant risks to email security is shadow IT, especially in a multicloud environment. Misconfigured or test-environment email servers often remain exposed to the internet, making them an easy target for even inexperienced cybercriminals. Therefore, it is crucial for organizations to take proactive steps to secure their email infrastructure.

In response to these evolving threats, ImmuniWeb has launched a free email security test as part of its Community Edition. This online tool allows users to assess their email server security, encryption, DNS configurations, compromised credentials, ongoing phishing campaigns, and presence in black and spam lists. By offering these security checks, ImmuniWeb aims to provide SMEs, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and small municipal governments with a foundational level of cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance.

Dr. Ilia Kolochenko, Chief Architect & CEO at ImmuniWeb, emphasizes the company’s commitment to supporting vulnerable organizations in their fight against cyberattacks. While ImmuniWeb primarily serves its customers and partners, it also considers its social responsibility to be a top priority. The Community Edition has already become an essential cybersecurity tool for thousands of individuals, companies, and organizations worldwide. ImmuniWeb is proud to contribute its technical expertise to the industry and is dedicated to sustainability and the development of the cybersecurity field.

According to Dr. Kolochenko, the new email security test is a simple and efficient solution to ensure the safety of email servers and communications. He promises that more exciting news and announcements from ImmuniWeb are on the horizon.

As cyber threats continue to evolve, organizations of all sizes need to be proactive in protecting themselves against potential attacks. ImmuniWeb’s Community Edition, with its new email security test, provides a valuable resource to those who may not have the means to invest in enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions. By offering this free tool, ImmuniWeb is empowering individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools they need to establish a strong foundation of cybersecurity.
