Iran enhances cyber operations targeting Israel. Fortinet CVEs mistakenly issued. Over $1 billion paid in ransomware payments in 2023.

A wide array of cybersecurity events is set to take place in various cities across the United States as organizations gear up to fortify their defenses against cyber threats. The SANS Tysons Corner – NOVA 2024 event will be held in Tysons Corner, Virginia from February 5 to 10. The structure of the event is similar to the Tysons Corner event, offering 41 interactive courses with hands-on labs, NetWars tournaments, and opportunities for networking. The convenience of both in-person and virtual attendance options allows a wide audience to participate.

From February 19 to 24, the SANS Security East New Orleans 2024 event will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana. Once again, participants will have the opportunity to choose from 41 interactive courses with hands-on labs, compete in NetWars tournaments, and connect with industry professionals. This event also aligns with GIAC certifications, making it an essential opportunity for professionals in the field.

Additionally, the Spring 2024 CISSP Study Group presented by ISSA Central MD offers a learning environment conducive to better understanding the material. With in-person and virtual attendance options, participants have the flexibility to join the sessions from Columbia, Maryland or virtually online, ensuring access to valuable education and networking opportunities.

Lastly, the Trellix Public Sector Cybersecurity Summit is set to take place in Washington, DC on February 27, 2024. The summit aims to address the evolving landscape of cybersecurity in public sector organizations, providing insights into topics such as ransomware, zero trust, global security, and extended detection and response (XDR). Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to engage in conversations on the intersection of public sector cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI), evolving partnerships to strengthen threat intelligence, and navigating new cybersecurity policy directives.
