Securonix, Inc., a prominent player in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) sector and a consistent performer in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant Cybersecurity rankings, has unveiled the appointment of Kash Shaikh as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Effective immediately, Shaikh will assume his roles as the company’s top executive and will also join its Board of Directors.
With more than three decades of experience in spearheading business transformations and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions to global enterprises, Kash Shaikh brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. His previous role as President and CEO of Virtana, a leading provider of hybrid-cloud infrastructure observability solutions, highlights his success in the tech industry.
Before his tenure at Virtana, Shaikh served as the Global Vice President and General Manager for Dell’s Enterprise Solutions Unit. He also held key leadership roles at prominent tech companies such as Ruckus Wireless, Hewlett Packard, Cisco, and Nortel Networks.
In response to his appointment, Kash Shaikh expressed his enthusiasm for joining Securonix, a trailblazer in the cybersecurity realm and a five-time leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM. He emphasized the company’s innovative unified platform, which combines SIEM, Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), as pivotal to its success in the industry.

The transition in leadership comes as Kash Shaikh takes over from Nayaki Nayyar, who decided to step down to focus on public Board service. Nayyar played a crucial role in guiding the company towards profitable growth and enhancing its reputation for innovation with the introduction of the Unified Defense SIEM and Securonix EON – AI-Reinforced CyberOps Platform.
