Keeper Security has recently introduced enhancements to its Keeper WearOS app, designed to elevate security and convenience for smartwatch users. The updated app, in alignment with Google’s latest Android guidelines, aims to provide a more intuitive and streamlined experience for Android WearOS users.
Formerly known as KeeperDNA, the Keeper WearOS app has now been renamed to reflect a unified access experience across various platforms. The revamped app offers users the ability to securely view stored credentials and utilize their smartwatch for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). While retaining key features such as Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) code viewing and Watch Favourites, the app now boasts a modernized interface design and enhanced functionality for an improved user experience.
Furthermore, Keeper has enhanced the offline functionality of its Android app, enabling users to access their Keeper data securely even without an internet connection. This improvement not only enhances convenience for mobile users but also boosts security when accessing sensitive information on the go.
Craig Lurey, CTO and Co-founder of Keeper Security, emphasized the importance of easy-to-use security solutions, stating that the updated WearOS app offers robust protection with an enhanced user experience. By allowing users to securely access their credentials directly from their smartwatch, Keeper aims to simplify the process and provide a seamless security solution.
Key features of the updated Keeper WearOS app include a redesigned interface with a modern UI for improved usability and navigation, instant access to credentials and 2FA codes, and Watch Favourites for quick access to frequently used logins. The release also includes offline functionality enhancements for the Keeper Android app, such as simplified account setup and enhanced controls for offline access configuration.
The Keeper WearOS app lays the groundwork for ongoing improvements to Keeper’s wearable solutions, with future enhancements planned to include passkey support and standalone functionality for managing security directly from wearable devices. Lurey emphasized the importance of integrating security seamlessly into daily routines, ensuring that security remains effortless, effective, and uncompromising.
The updated Keeper WearOS app is now available on the Google Play Store, offering users a more secure and convenient way to manage their credentials on WearOS devices. As Keeper continues to innovate and enhance its security solutions, users can expect a more seamless and user-friendly experience with their password management solution.
