Kyndryl Launches Incident Response and Forensics Service in Collaboration with AWS Threat Intelligence.

IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has recently launched its cybersecurity incident response and forensics (CSIRF) service, signaling its continued efforts to prioritize cybersecurity in today’s threat landscape. Additionally, the company has also partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide customers with operational IT data across cybersecurity, compliance, and resilience that will enhance actionable insights and security intelligence driven by industry standards and best practices.

With the increasing number of cyberattacks, organizations need to have an efficient incident response plan in place, and Kyndryl’s CSIRF can help them proactively prepare and respond to potential threats by utilizing the latest threat intelligence and experience from their security experts. By investigating and responding to detected security incidents, customers can leverage the firm’s capabilities such as incident triage, incident response, threat intelligence, and compliance monitoring and management.

Moreover, the CSIRF experts will provide the necessary assistance if an occurrence such as ransomware happens to a customer’s business. They can also opt for the proactive services, which can reduce the time to respond to an incident. The CSIRF service complements Kyndryl’s Recovery Retainer Service, which aims to help customers recover and rebuild their environments after catastrophic events.

Furthermore, the Kyndryl and AWS partnership will see the launch of the Security Operations Platform powered by Amazon Security Lake, Kyndryl Bridge, and the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) standard. This service is designed to provide actionable insights and security intelligence to enhance security resilience for customers. Kyndryl’s experts will monitor the environment for security events and manage the infrastructure, ensuring minimal interruptions to core business platforms in the event of a major attack.

Powered by Amazon Security Lake, which centralizes an organization’s security data from across its AWS environments, customers can integrate this service with other platforms such as Splunk, SentinelOne, and Wiz. Recently, Trellix and Netskope both announced new Amazon Security Lake support to enhance threat detection and remediation for their customers.

The partnership highlights the value of working on joint projects to achieve effective security solutions. Kyndryl believes that collaborating with AWS will improve the quality and scope of the service offered to customers. This allows Kyndryl to continue to build on its reputation as a leader in the IT infrastructure services market by providing tailored solutions in line with customers’ business needs.

“The increased adoption of cloud infrastructure and internet-enabled devices has led to an increase in cybersecurity threats faced by organizations worldwide,” said Alex Atzberger, CEO of Kyndryl. “To mitigate these threats, and protect our customers from the potentially catastrophic impact of a security breach, we have launched a proactive service offering based on the latest threat intelligence and experience from our cybersecurity experts. By partnering with AWS, we are providing our customers with actionable insights and security intelligence driven by industry standards and best practice methods, ensuring security resilience and help improve their overall cybersecurity posture.”

As the threat landscape continues to evolve, organizations must remain vigilant to protect their reputation, assets, and sensitive data. It is essential to collaborate with experienced service providers and leverage the latest technologies to proactively defend against cyber threats. The launch of Kyndryl’s CSIRF service and its partnership with AWS demonstrate its commitment to helping customers be proactive in their security posture.
