Iowa-based cloud services provider LightEdge has recently rolled out enhanced cloud security and managed services. This revolutionary update includes revamped Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), a new LightEdge Cloud Recovery (DRaaS), and an advanced Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) offering. Additionally, the company introduced new options for comprehensive threat monitoring and alerts as part of its cloud suite. These tailored business continuity services will be managed by LightEdge’s team of cloud engineers.

LightEdge CEO Jim Masterson highlighted the significance of this development, emphasizing that security is a top concern for the company’s clients, especially in the face of increasing cybersecurity threats. He stressed that LightEdge is committed to prioritizing data integrity, uptime, and compliance for its clients. Moreover, the company recognizes the need for comprehensive cloud products and aims to provide a complete cloud experience as a trusted IT partner.

The focus on cloud security comes at a time when business leaders are increasingly concerned about the vulnerability of their data. According to the 2023 Flexera State of Cloud report, 79% of respondents rated security as one of their organization’s top cloud challenges. A separate report from the Ponemon Institute further revealed that 60% of IT and security leaders surveyed lack confidence in their organization’s ability to ensure secure cloud access. This growing concern over cloud security is occurring amidst a surge in digital transformation across various industries.

In line with the unveiling of its updated cloud security and managed services, LightEdge has announced several new or restructured offerings. These include streamlined BaaS services that provide enhanced visibility for customers, real-time access to view or co-manage their Veeam BaaS services. Additionally, the company has launched three tiers of LightEdge Cloud Recovery offerings: Premium, Standard, and Lite, making it easier and faster for clients to customize recovery services according to their business needs. The suite of cloud security enhancements encompasses Identity Access Management, Behavioral AI Technologies, and Endpoint Detection Response (EDR).

Chief Growth Officer for LightEdge, Rob Carter, reiterated the company’s commitment to tailoring business continuity solutions to meet the unique needs of each client. He emphasized that LightEdge’s managed services can be customized to provide expertise and support tailored to the specific requirements of each organization. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that clients have the best protection, data replication, and recovery services, while meeting the highest levels of security, reliability, and performance.

Founded in 1996, LightEdge has established itself as a leader in secure cloud and colocation services, catering to over 1,300 clients. The company’s client-centric approach focuses on understanding each business’ unique goals to deliver the right cloud for every workload and bridge the gap between multi-cloud environments.

With a renewed emphasis on cloud security and a comprehensive suite of offerings, LightEdge is well-positioned to continue serving as a trusted partner for enterprises requiring secure, reliable, and performance-driven business continuity solutions.
