In the recent past week, several noteworthy products have been introduced that aim to enhance security measures and streamline processes for companies and developers. Let’s delve into some of the latest releases from GitGuardian, LOKKER, Permit.io, Secure Code Warrior, and Strata Identity.

GitGuardian has unveiled a tool designed to assist companies in identifying any developer leaks on GitHub. This tool conducts an audit to determine the extent of leaked secrets, whether company-related or personal, by developers on public GitHub repositories. The audit generates a score ranging from A to E, taking into account factors such as the volume of hardcoded secrets detected, the number of individuals responsible for leaks, and the total number of developers within the specified scope over the past three years. The tool categorizes companies based on their developer count, enabling a fair comparison of their security posture.

Moving on to Secure Code Warrior (SCW), they have introduced the SCW Trust Agent, a solution that evaluates developers’ security competencies for code commits. This tool empowers administrators to establish policies and criteria to ensure that developers meet specified standards and expectations before contributing code. In cases where developers may have skill gaps, they can utilize the SCW agile learning platform to enhance their language-specific knowledge and capabilities.

Meanwhile, Strata Identity has introduced Identity Continuity, an enhancement to its Maverics Identity Orchestration platform. This new offering ensures business continuity by enabling seamless failover from a primary cloud Identity Provider (IDP) to a secondary IDP, leveraging on-premises or cloud-to-cloud failover capabilities. This functionality guarantees uninterrupted access to mission-critical applications, safeguarding against potential downtime or service disruptions.

Additionally, LOKKER has rolled out a web privacy risk summary solution designed for insurers. This tool enables insurers to share on-demand web privacy risk reports with their insured companies, providing a straightforward overview of their data privacy risk profile across various categories. By highlighting potential issues that could result in regulatory fines, lawsuits, or data breaches, this solution equips insurers and insured companies to proactively manage and mitigate privacy risks.

Lastly, Permit.io has introduced “Permit Share-If,” a feature that enables developers to integrate secure collaboration capabilities into their applications effortlessly. By delegating access control to end-users without compromising security or requiring custom permissions, developers can enhance functionality and security measures without dedicating additional development time.

Overall, these recent product releases signify a growing emphasis on improving security practices, enhancing collaboration features, and ensuring business continuity in the ever-evolving digital landscape. With innovative solutions like these, companies and developers are better equipped to address cybersecurity challenges and streamline operations effectively.
