New Security Model Launched to Reduce 95% of Cyber Breaches

A new security model called Access Segmentation and Encryption Management (ASEM) has been launched by MyCena Security Solutions, with the aim of providing the most comprehensive cybersecurity protection available today. Developments in ASEM have now enabled a paradigm shift to occur. By removing passwords from the control of employees and putting them back under the control of the enterprise, ASEM offers huge security advances over the single access model which include Zero Trust, privileged access management, identity access management, or biometric access; all of which depend largely on the user not falling prey to phishing scams and the reliability of AI.

According to ASEM’s creators, human error is the prime cause of security breaches today, with a recent study from the World Economic Forum attributing 95% of all breaches to the same. Julia O’Toole, CEO of MyCena Security Solutions, has stated that “ASEM is a new security model that adds 95% more coverage by putting access security back under corporate control. No other security model offers such level of coverage for organizations. ASEM also provides huge cost savings, reduces mental stress, and mathematically provides cyber-resilience against ransomware. It’s the most comprehensive security model available on the market today.”

With strong random encrypted passwords being applied to each system individually across the entire enterprise network, even if attackers were to infiltrate the network via a third-party supply chain attack, they would be contained within one system and unable to travel laterally across the organization’s network. This prevents the escalation of privileges by the attackers and protects the overall network. By removing the need for employees to handle, store, and make their own passwords, the risk of human error resulting in data breaches is significantly decreased.

ASEM’s centralized management platform means that passwords are generated according to specific policies for each system and encrypted, preventing phishing scams and reducing the volume of data that can be stolen or locked, thus preventing ransomware. Organizations can save significant costs by eliminating password resets (which are estimated to cost US$70 per reset by research firm Forrester), password hygiene training, and password fraud.

MyCena Security Solutions is currently the only vendor offering a platform to support ASEM security model. Organizations using this model to secure their access are also able to provide a Certificate of Access Control Implementation for listed systems and users to data privacy regulators and insurers, to prove compliance with their data privacy access control duties and duty of care if necessary.

In conclusion, ASEM has been a revolutionary by creating a comprehensive security model that addresses the issue of employee error and significantly reduces the risk of cyber breaches. With MyCena Security Solutions as the only vendor to offer this platform and the potential to provide huge cost savings, there is every indication that ASEM could become the go-to cybersecurity model in the future.
