Nexusflow Secures .6 Million to Enhance Generative AI in Cybersecurity

Nexusflow has secured a $10.6 million seed funding round, led by Point72 Ventures and featuring participation from Fusion Fund and prominent figures in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry based in Silicon Valley. The company, founded by AI experts Professor Jiantao Jiao, Professor Kurt Keutzer, and industry leader Jian Zhang, aims to provide enterprises with advanced AI models while ensuring the security of their sensitive data.

Jiao and Keutzer, both professors at the Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) Lab, have a wealth of experience in AI algorithms and systems. Zhang, with a Ph.D. from the Stanford AI Lab and previous experience as the Machine Learning Director at SambaNova Systems, a prominent AI startup, adds significant industry expertise to the team.

The main goal of Nexusflow is to enable enterprises to leverage state-of-the-art AI models, while safeguarding their sensitive information. This can be achieved through their proprietary technology, which allows the use of AI models without the risk of data leaks. In security applications, Nexusflow has demonstrated an accuracy rate of up to 95%, surpassing OpenAI’s GPT-4, which achieves a rate of only 64%.

Jiao, who serves as the CEO of Nexusflow, highlighted the company’s specialization in curating high-quality data for data-centric AI. He stressed the importance of their expertise in generative AI systems, which ensures efficient implementation and scalability. As a result, Nexusflow can offer significantly lower costs compared to OpenAI’s GPT-4.

The accuracy achieved by Nexusflow is due to its NexusRaven model, which was released by the company alongside the fundraising announcement. This model allows enterprises to synthesize fragmented data from various sources and software tools, speeding up decision-making processes and streamlining security operations workflows.

Prominent venture capital firms, Point72 Ventures and Fusion Fund, have shown their support for Nexusflow’s innovative approach to AI. Sri Chandrasekar, Managing Partner at Point72 Ventures, commended Jiao and his team for their unique skill set in addressing the challenges faced by cybersecurity enterprises. He believes that Nexusflow represents the next frontier of generative AI research and expressed their excitement to support the company in its journey.

Lu Zhang, Founder & Managing Partner at Fusion Fund, also expressed enthusiasm for Nexusflow’s impact on cybersecurity. Zhang praised the company’s pioneering research in Generative AI and highlighted their deep expertise in delivering generative AI solutions to enterprises. Fusion Fund is thrilled to support Nexusflow’s transformative impact on the field.

With the new funding round secured, Nexusflow is poised to further develop its technology and expand its presence in the cybersecurity industry. The company’s ability to offer advanced AI models while ensuring data security positions it as a key player in the growing AI market. As Nexusflow continues to push the boundaries of generative AI research, the company is set to revolutionize cybersecurity and bring significant advancements to the industry.
