Based in Essen, the technology producer assured customers that they are working urgently with external specialists to “solve the situation within the next few days, clean up the systems, and determine the causes.”
Interestingly, Medion is currently only referring to this issue as an “IT disruption.” However, at the end of November, a user shared a screenshot on Facebook of a previous notification from the Medion portal. In that notification, it mentioned an “IT incident caused by unknown external attackers.”
