Among the various factions within The Com, a subgroup known as “764” has gained notoriety for its extreme violence and grooming tactics since 2021. This subgroup specifically targets young individuals, coercing them to engage in violent acts and produce explicit content, which is subsequently utilized for blackmail purposes. Such activities further intertwine with other extremist ideologies, substantially increasing the risk of radicalization among vulnerable youth.
Project Compass was conceived to address the jurisdictional challenges typically associated with the investigation of decentralized digital networks.
