The company believes that their solution will set a new standard for behavioral detection and response in cloud security, covering the entire spectrum from the software supply chain to runtime.
Formerly known as KSOC (Kubernetes Security Operations Center), RAD Security underwent a name change earlier this year to reflect its expanded focus beyond Kubernetes security. The name “RAD” itself denotes something radical and technically exciting, embodying the company’s innovative approach to cybersecurity. As a finalist in the Black Hat Startup Spotlight competition, RAD Security will have the opportunity to showcase its business model and technology to a panel of judges at the Black Hat USA Conference in Las Vegas on Aug. 6.
The competition, which follows a “Shark Tank”-style format, will feature presentations from four finalists, including RAD Security, with each company vying for recognition and validation of their solutions in the cybersecurity space. Visitors to RAD Security’s booth will have the chance to witness live demonstrations of the platform and learn about new features aimed at revolutionizing cloud investigations.
In a playful nod to their company culture, RAD Security shared that if they were a band, their name would simply be “RAD,” promising a full experiential show that engages all senses, much like the spectacle of Las Vegas’ Sphere. Additionally, they unveiled their mascot, a bear named Brad, who epitomizes their commitment to being “rad” when it comes to security.
