The Central Crime Branch of the City Police organized a Cyber Crime awareness rally at Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar, on Sunday. The rally aimed to educate the public about the increasing prevalence of online trading scams and digital arrest scams. Students from various educational institutions enthusiastically participated in the event, holding placards and banners to spread awareness about the risks associated with cybercrime.

Retired DGP C. Sylendra Babu, a respected figure in law enforcement, flagged off the rally, emphasizing the importance of staying vigilant in the face of evolving cyber threats. The presence of A.Radhika, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central Crime Branch), and Joint Police Commissioner (South) Bandi Gangadhar added to the significance of the event, showcasing the commitment of the police department to combatting cybercrime.

During the rally, participants were encouraged to report any instances of cyber scams or fraudulent activities by calling 1930 or visiting the official website www.cybercrime.gov.in.
