RIIG, an AI-driven risk intelligence and cybersecurity solutions provider, recently announced the appointment of two new members, Cody Sanford and Dr. Philip E. Bourne, to its advisory board. The addition of these top leaders from the tech and scientific communities is expected to bring a wealth of expertise and insights to further enhance RIIG’s product innovation and strategic growth initiatives.

Alex Soroka, President of RIIG, expressed his enthusiasm about welcoming Cody Sanford and Dr. Bourne to the board, highlighting the unique strengths and perspectives they bring to the organization. With Cody’s extensive experience in business expansion, big data, and technological strategies, combined with Dr. Bourne’s scientific research expertise, RIIG aims to leverage their diverse skill sets to drive the company’s mission forward.

Cody Sanford, previously serving as T-Mobile’s Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and Chief Product Officer, played a key role in leading the company’s Product & Technology organization. With over 20 years of experience at T-Mobile and a successful track record in financing and mergers and acquisitions, Sanford’s strategic leadership is expected to be a valuable asset to RIIG’s board.

Dr. Philip Bourne, the Founding Dean of the School of Data Science and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia, brings a wealth of knowledge in utilizing big data for scientific research purposes. His expertise in structural bioinformatics and systems pharmacology, along with his previous role as the Associate Director for Data Science at the National Institutes of Health, makes him a well-rounded addition to RIIG’s advisory board.

RIIG specializes in developing innovative tools and applications powered by advanced artificial intelligence to address challenges in data security, threat detection, and strategic risk management across diverse data environments. Through collaborations with US federal agencies, commercial partners, and academic institutions, RIIG aims to provide cutting-edge solutions to help organizations mitigate cyber risks and enhance their security posture.

The recent $3 million seed funding round led by the Felton Group, the family office of hedge fund manager Jaffray Woodriff, has positioned RIIG for accelerated development and expansion. The capital infusion will support the launch of AI-powered solutions, bolster client support capabilities, and grow the company’s sales and marketing teams to drive market adoption.

RIIG’s commitment to leveraging the expertise of industry professionals in AI, cybersecurity, and data science underscores its dedication to delivering innovative solutions that address the evolving challenges of the technology landscape. With a focus on innovation and strategic growth, RIIG is poised to make significant strides in the cybersecurity and risk intelligence space with the collective leadership of Cody Sanford, Dr. Philip Bourne, and the rest of its experienced team members.
