Salt Security, a leading API security company, recently announced new API integrations with the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform to further enhance and accelerate API discovery, posture governance, and threat protection. This collaboration aims to address the increasing API security risks faced by organizations due to the widespread use of APIs and the rising number of security incidents related to them.

The integration with CrowdStrike Falcon® platform enables rapid API discovery through a new Foundry application, providing organizations with real-time threat insights. This integration also allows for the streamlined deployment of Salt’s API sensor onto existing CrowdStrike Falcon endpoints. By combining Salt’s API telemetry with CrowdStrike’s extensive security data, leveraging AI and automation for improved threat detection and response becomes more seamless and effective.

Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike, highlighted the importance of APIs in modern digital transformation and the growing threats targeting them. He emphasized the significance of organizations having visibility into their API landscape to identify vulnerabilities, proactively mitigate threats, and secure critical data and systems within the Falcon platform. This collaboration reflects CrowdStrike’s commitment to revolutionizing cybersecurity by maximizing customer ROI through an open ecosystem platform approach.

Roey Eliyahu, co-founder and CEO of Salt Security, emphasized the increasing prevalence of API attacks and the need for a robust security posture to protect against data exfiltration and reconnaissance. He acknowledged the challenges posed by the complexity of API ecosystems and highlighted the value of integrating Salt’s specialized API security capabilities with CrowdStrike’s threat detection and response framework. This unified approach provides organizations with enhanced visibility and actionable intelligence to proactively identify vulnerabilities and neutralize advanced threats.

CrowdStrike customers can easily deploy the Salt sensor, capture API traffic metadata, and integrate this data into Falcon Next-Gen SIEM with minimal effort. This integration enables real-time visibility and proactive API security management, helping organizations stay ahead of potential threats. Salt Security is now available for purchase or download on the CrowdStrike Marketplace, making it accessible to a wide range of organizations looking to enhance their API security measures.

Overall, the strengthened partnership between Salt Security and CrowdStrike demonstrates a shared commitment to improving API security and empowering organizations to better protect their digital assets. By leveraging the combined capabilities of both solutions, organizations can enhance their security posture, detect and respond to threats more effectively, and ultimately strengthen their overall cybersecurity defenses.
