Salt Security, a prominent API security company, has recently welcomed Ori Bach to its senior leadership team as the Executive Vice President of Product. With over 15 years of experience in product strategy at various technology companies, Bach will play a crucial role in shaping the product vision and overseeing the global product team at Salt Security. He will be responsible for driving product roadmaps, incorporating customer input, and introducing new enhancements and security integrations to meet the ever-increasing demand for the Salt Security API Protection Platform.

Roey Eliyahu, the CEO and co-founder of Salt Security, expressed his excitement about Bach’s appointment, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Ori to the Salt executive team. With his rich product and cyber experience, we look forward to extending our platform’s capabilities to meet new demands. By helping companies quickly identify and defend against API threats in runtime, while also hardening existing APIs, Salt empowers them to safely modernize their applications and bring innovative new business services to market.”

The latest report titled “State of the CISO 2023” highlights the growing emphasis on API security. According to the report, 95% of organizations plan to prioritize API security over the next two years, marking a 12% increase compared to two years ago. The survey illustrates the recognition among organizations of the need for purpose-built API security measures to protect digital initiatives and sensitive data belonging to both themselves and their customers.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining Salt Security, Ori Bach, the newly appointed Executive Vice President of Product, commented, “It’s exciting to join Salt at such a pivotal stage of growth in the dynamic API security market. Salt is uniquely positioned to address growing API security needs with its time-tested AI-driven API security platform and proven track record of delivering the most advanced and comprehensive API security solution. I look forward to bringing additional value to Salt customers through product enhancements and new capabilities as the company continues to grow.”

Bach brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous roles. Prior to joining Salt Security, he served as the Senior Vice President of Product at Mend (formerly WhiteSource), where his compelling product strategy contributed to the growth and expansion of the product line. Before Mend, Bach held significant positions such as Vice President of Product and CEO at TrapX Security (now a Commvault company), where he successfully executed a robust product roadmap and secured adoption by some of the world’s largest enterprises, along with a Series C investment. Bach has also held leadership roles in product management at IBM-Trusteer and NICE Actimize. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Tel Aviv University.

Salt Security is poised for significant growth with Bach’s addition to its senior leadership team. As organizations increasingly prioritize API security, Salt’s AI-driven API security platform and robust track record position it as a leader in the market. By constantly improving their product and incorporating new capabilities, Salt aims to provide exceptional value to its customers while continuing to expand its presence in the API security industry.
