SandboxAQ has recently become a founding member of the United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) AI Hub, a global initiative aimed at providing AI-driven solutions and expertise to over 100 UN entities and international organizations. This partnership comes as the UNICC launches the AI Hub to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across its network, with a strong focus on cybersecurity and digital solutions.

In this collaborative effort, SandboxAQ will be integrating its AQtive Guard unified encryption management platform to assist UNICC member organizations in detecting and addressing cryptographic vulnerabilities within their IT infrastructure. By identifying and addressing outdated or compromised encryption keys, algorithms, and certificates, these services will enhance the security posture of organizations against emerging threats, including AI- and quantum-based cyberattacks.

Sameer Chauhan, Director of UNICC, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting SandboxAQ’s innovative quantum, AI, and cybersecurity solutions. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with trusted partners like SandboxAQ in developing cutting-edge solutions for the UN family.

The UNICC AI Hub is envisioned as a global center for AI innovation within the UN system, bringing together industry experts, partners, and resources to drive positive global impact. The hub will offer expertise and training in predictive, generative, and quantitative AI models tailored to the specific needs of UN organizations. With a focus on security, compliance, and performance, the AI Hub will guide partners in implementing and scaling AI-driven initiatives while upholding ethical standards and data integrity.

In addition to cybersecurity initiatives, SandboxAQ will collaborate with UNICC to deploy AI-powered Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) that have the potential to revolutionize complex system modeling, post-quantum cryptography, and predictive analytics. These innovations are poised to support various UN Sustainable Development Goals, including initiatives related to clean water access, healthcare improvements, climate action, and renewable energy.

Stefan Leichenauer, VP Engineering of SandboxAQ, commended the UNICC’s initiative in creating a centralized hub for AI expertise and resources, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in tackling global challenges such as cyber threats and promoting positive change on a global scale. SandboxAQ is honored to be a founding member of the UNICC AI Hub and looks forward to contributing to addressing society’s most pressing issues.

As SandboxAQ takes on a key role in the UNICC AI Hub, its expertise in AI, quantum technology, and cybersecurity will be instrumental in enhancing the UN’s digital defenses and driving AI-driven innovation on a global scale. The partnership underscores the growing significance of AI in addressing critical international challenges, from cybersecurity threats to sustainable development.

Moving forward, the collaboration between SandboxAQ and UNICC is poised to make significant strides in bolstering cybersecurity measures and fostering AI innovation within the UN system and beyond. It represents a united effort to leverage cutting-edge technologies towards creating a more secure and technologically advanced global landscape.
