SANS Institute, a global leader in cybersecurity training, has a lineup of interactive courses and events scheduled for February to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to protect organizations from cyber threats. The high-level events are held in various locations across the United States.

First on the list is the SANS Tysons Corner – NOVA 2024 event held from February 5 to 10, 2024, in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Attendees will have the opportunity to choose from 41 interactive courses with hands-on labs, enabling them to practice their skills and compete in NetWars Tournaments. This event also provides a platform for networking with industry experts, instructors, and peers in real-time.

The security community’s next destination is SANS San Diego 2024, scheduled from February 12 to 17, 2024, in San Diego, California, and virtually. This event will feature similar interactive courses and hands-on labs, along with NetWars Tournaments, and offers the chance to connect with industry colleagues and instructors.

Moreover, on February 19 to 24, 2024, SANS will host the SANS Security East New Orleans 2024. This event will also offer 41 interactive courses with hands-on labs, NetWars Tournaments, and opportunities for real-time networking with industry professionals.

In addition to these events, the cybersecurity community will have the opportunity to participate in the Spring 2024 CISSP Study Group, presented by ISSA Central MD. This event, which runs from February 20 to May 1, 2024, in Columbia, Maryland, or through virtual attendance, aims to foster a conducive learning environment to better absorb and understand cybersecurity material. It provides an alternative approach to simply cramming information for testing purposes, making the knowledge useful and easier to interpret.

Furthermore, cybersecurity professionals can benefit from the knowledge shared at the Trellix Public Sector Cybersecurity Summit on February 27, 2024, in Washington, DC. The event aims to address the escalating sophistication of cyber threats faced by public sector organizations. Topics of discussion will include emerging cybersecurity capabilities like machine learning, AI, predictive analytics, and extended detection and response. Public sector leaders attending the summit will have the opportunity to engage in conversations about the intersection of AI and public sector cybersecurity, evolving partnerships to strengthen threat intelligence, and how to navigate and act on new cybersecurity policy directives, among others.

Protecting digital assets and systems from cyber threats is essential in today’s interconnected world. By providing access to advanced training and networking opportunities, SANS Institute is playing a crucial role in empowering cybersecurity professionals to stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats and safeguard critical information. Participants at these events will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the challenges posed by cyber threats in an increasingly digitized and interconnected world.
