The CompTIA Cloud+ certification is a comprehensive training program that covers cloud security, along with other aspects of cloud technology. It is designed for professionals who want a broader understanding of cloud security within the context of cloud architecture, deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and DevOps fundamentals. The certification exam consists of 90 multiple-choice and performance-based questions, and professionals must renew their certification every three years by completing 50 continuing education units (CEUs).

To qualify for the exam, candidates should have at least five years of IT experience, including two to three years as a systems administrator or cloud engineer. The training fees for CompTIA Cloud+ vary depending on the bundle purchased, ranging from US$475 for a self-paced study guide to US$1059 for an eLearning product. The exam fee is US$369, which can be paid monthly.

The EC-Council Certified Cloud Security Engineer (C | CSE) certification offers training on the three popular cloud services of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. In addition to vendor-specific training, the certification covers general best practices in configuration, security, pen-testing, incident response, and business continuity and disaster recovery. This certification is targeted towards InfoSec professionals, cybersecurity engineers and analysts, and network security administrators. To earn the certification, candidates must score at least 70% on the 125-multiple choice exam.

Candidates for the C | CSE certification should have at least two years of IT experience. The training fees for the exam prep are US$99, and EC-Council also offers live and group training options for candidates. The exam fee is US$100, which may be waived for candidates who have completed official training.

The GIAC Cloud Threat Detection (GCTD) certification is designed for security analysts, engineers, architects, vulnerability assessors, and other professionals involved in monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. The certification covers automation, cloud management, threat intelligence, and host and network logging. To earn the GCTD certification, candidates must score at least 70% on the 75-question onsite or online proctored exam.

Certificate holders must complete 36 credits over four years to keep the GCTD certification valid. GIAC offers live training for GCTD in various cities worldwide, starting at US$8,020. The exam fee for the GCTD certification is US$979.
