Swimlane has recently introduced Hero, a revolutionary private agentic AI security operations (SecOps) companion that is set to transform the way security teams operate. With its innovative Hero AI technology, Swimlane aims to empower security professionals to work more efficiently and effectively by providing suggestions for next steps and answering complex questions privately, ultimately reducing mean-time-to-remediate (MTTR).

The key feature of Hero is its integration within the Swimlane Turbine hyperautomation platform and its ability to leverage data points from the entire ecosystem. This enables Hero to have a comprehensive understanding of a customer’s Turbine environment, processes, and past decisions, allowing security teams to work, investigate, and resolve cases at an unprecedented speed. Additionally, Hero utilizes Swimlane’s proprietary and private LLM to ensure that sensitive data remains protected at all times.

According to Tracey Webb, a representative from Global Data Systems, Hero represents more than just a tool; it symbolizes a fundamental shift in the way security operations are approached. Hero’s agentic AI capabilities bring autonomy, adaptability, and goal-oriented action to workflows, revolutionizing the approach to handling threats. Webb believes that Hero signifies the beginning of a new era where AI takes the lead in securing critical assets.

One of the standout features of Hero is its ability to streamline information and context gathering, allowing teams to make informed decisions in real-time. By combining agentic AI and automation, Hero optimizes SecOps workflows by harnessing the power of human and machine intelligence. AI Agents within the platform can interact with each other, breaking down complex problems, making decisions, and taking actions to resolve intricate security challenges.

Hero also excels in contextually aware conversations, as it can recall previous interactions and provide follow-up responses based on the data available in Turbine. The transparency and trustworthiness of Hero’s AI innovation are paramount, with a focus on data privacy, security, and customer trust. Swimlane ensures that customer data is never used to train Hero AI, providing individualized risk assessments and recommendations before deploying AI capabilities within the Turbine environment.

Furthermore, Hero can summarize incidents and recommend actions based on conversations with users. It can provide insights to mitigate or solve cases, offer summaries of indicators of compromise (IOCs), and accelerate investigations to identify threats efficiently. By acting as an expert information-gatherer, Hero speeds up operational tasks and enhances SecOps, compliance, and vulnerability management processes.

Cody Cornell, Chief Strategy Officer of Swimlane, expressed the company’s commitment to redefining the boundaries of security operations with Hero’s agentic AI technology. By transforming data into actionable intelligence and simplifying complex workflows, Hero paves the way for a future where specialized AI agents can tackle even the most challenging security issues with precision and speed.

Customers utilizing Hero can increase productivity by 20% compared to automation alone. Global Data Systems (GDS), one of Swimlane’s customers, has reported significant improvements in efficiency, with the equivalent of 20 virtual analysts added to their security teams and a record number of cases analyzed.

Overall, Hero represents a significant advancement in the field of security operations and is now available for organizations looking to enhance their cybersecurity capabilities.
