Thales, a leading cybersecurity company, recently unveiled its newest solution, Data Risk Intelligence, as part of the Imperva Data Security Fabric (DSF) offering. This innovative solution aims to address the growing risks to data security across various platforms and systems.

The Data Risk Intelligence solution is the result of Thales’s strategic acquisition of Imperva in December 2023. By combining the risk and threat identification capabilities of the Imperva Data Security Fabric with the data protection features of the Thales CipherTrust Data Security Platform, this solution offers a comprehensive approach to data security.

In today’s digital landscape, where data is scattered across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid systems, organizations face increasing challenges in maintaining the security of their sensitive information. According to the 2024 Thales Data Threat Report, 93% of enterprises have reported a rise in cybersecurity threats compared to the previous year.

With Data Risk Intelligence, security teams and SOCs are empowered with enhanced visibility and control over their data security. This solution provides a unified view of risks to critical data, along with insights into the strength of encryption across an organization’s data estate. By leveraging advanced analytics and a wide range of data risk indicators, Data Risk Intelligence enables CIOs, CISOs, and data risk specialists to identify and prioritize the most critical data at risk.

Todd Moore, VP of Data Security products at Thales, emphasized the significance of centralizing data risk visibility and management in addressing the multi-dimensional risks faced by enterprises. By offering valuable insights into data vulnerabilities, organizations can prioritize protection measures where they are most needed.

Key benefits of Data Risk Intelligence include enhanced risk prioritization, comprehensive visibility across the entire data estate, customizable risk indicators tailored to specific environments, encryption integration for data protection, and the use of advanced analytics to identify high-risk data.

This solution is available to customers with a current Data Security Fabric Data 360 license, providing them with the tools and capabilities to effectively manage and mitigate data security risks. By combining the expertise and technologies of Thales and Imperva, Data Risk Intelligence represents a significant advancement in data security solutions, offering organizations a comprehensive approach to safeguarding their valuable data assets.
