Veeam Software recently made an announcement regarding the integration of recovery orchestrator for Microsoft Hyper-V customers into the Veeam Data Platform. This move aims to simplify and automate the disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution process for organizations. With the Veeam Recovery Orchestrator, businesses can efficiently create, manage, and test disaster recovery plans, ensuring a swift and effective recovery of their data in the event of an outage or disaster.

The enhanced Hyper-V orchestration builds on the cyber resilience features of the Veeam Data Platform, which include malware scanning, IoC detection, and proactive threat scanning. This integration is designed to deliver faster recovery, stronger defenses, and maximum uptime for organizations utilizing Hyper-V as their hypervisor.

Available to Veeam Data Platform Premium customers, the Orchestrator now offers disaster recovery (DR) orchestration for Hyper-V machines and enables the recovery of other machines to Hyper-V, enhancing data portability for organizations exploring or transitioning to new hypervisors. This feature facilitates a seamless migration from VMware vSphere to Microsoft Hyper-V, allowing organizations to achieve resilience at scale and quickly recover business operations in minutes during a disaster.

John Jester, Chief Revenue Officer at Veeam, emphasized the importance of data resilience and readiness for unexpected events. He highlighted Veeam’s commitment to supporting the systems that customers rely on or are adopting, ensuring that organizations can confidently execute planned migrations and maintain business continuity.

The Veeam Recovery Orchestrator offers several key benefits to organizations, including seamless data portability, freedom to migrate between platforms, automation and orchestration of migration plans, and real value for VMware and Hyper-V customers. These features aim to help organizations achieve greater data resilience, reduce downtime, protect vital data and applications, and facilitate data portability across various workloads.

Veeam Data Platform Premium Edition, which includes Veeam Recovery Orchestrator v7.2, is now available for organizations looking to enhance their disaster recovery and data resilience capabilities. Customers like Jim Ballowe, Chief Information Officer at Esquire Deposition Solutions, LLC, have praised Veeam Orchestrator for its ability to ensure business continuity and compliance through regular testing and quick recovery processes.

Overall, the integration of recovery orchestrator for Microsoft Hyper-V customers into the Veeam Data Platform represents a significant step towards enhancing data resilience and disaster recovery capabilities for organizations utilizing Hyper-V as their hypervisor. With features like seamless data portability, automation of migration processes, and real value for customers, Veeam aims to provide a comprehensive solution for organizations looking to ensure the continuity and security of their critical data and applications.
